Ibeltz (Spain)
Alright, so this band hails from the Basque region of Spain, and play a melodic folk/bm hybrid, with a heavy emphasis on the folk. Unlike some other band's doing this sort of thing, the folk sections are very well done both vocally and instrumentally. They seem to be very genuine to me, although it might not be everyone's cup of tea. The faster sections are catchy and melodic with violins, keys, and flutes supplementing everything. Apparentely the album is based on a pirate novel written by the leader of the band, which is pretty cool. Enjoy :Shedevil:
I discovered this band upon listening to another basque band, Aiumeen Basoa, who i would also highly recommend.
