RECOMMENDATION: In Solitude - The World. The Flesh. The Devil.

This is a swedish band from Uppsala. Also the birth town of Watain.

In Solitude play what I would describe as old-school heavy metal. Some would probably compare them to King Diamond/Mercyful Fate.

The album I am recommending is their sophomore outing "The World. The Flesh. The Devil." The vocals are an acquired taste but as a whole this albums slays. The riffs, the melodies, the earthy genuine production values and the mood of the music does it for me. Hope it works for you too.

Saw these guys live with Amon Amarth and Grand Magus back in March - reviewed the gig for OneMetal (link here) and subsequently interviewed the vocalist, Hornper (link here). A very cool album, this - very atmospheric.
