Recommendation: The Waking Cold - Doorways Of A Fading Heart

Mauro is great. I too wish I could buy everything he's released, if only to help a great label that actually cares about putting out quality music and packaging.
Congrats on the deal with Code666.

Congrats on the deal with Code666.

thanks!
hopefully the album will be out pretty soon, we're looking at labels at the minute for the next projects

listened to those crown of light samples, very nice, dark, relaxing
are you analogue or do you use absynth for any parts?

For A Crown of Light it's a mix of both. I'm pretty much straight analog. Brandon (A Crown of Amaranth) is digital.

hence my confusion I think
I've mostly been reconstructing and manipulating existing sounds (from the band and field recording)
but i've started using a usb controller for absynth (not midi just live capture)
its nice to have more pure sounds at my disposal, mixing them is cool
but I'd love to have a moog to twiddle around with :)

Yeah, it seems that lots of dark ambient/noise artists are either analog or digital with no in between.
I do lots of field recording myself, and manipulating/reconstructing/deconstructing.
I'll have to look into absynth.
