I recorded drums in a local church to me (for free I ought to add) and it sounded incredible.

Using the same kit, mics and drummer and it sounded drastically different solely because of the room - I encourage anybody to do this if they get a chance.

I think a fellow UK Sneapster did the same in a warehouse and said they got instant White Pony-era Deftones and I had the same.
