Hey guys

just a question. im wanting to do some recordings soon and i have a Countryman type 85 and Universal Audio twin finity preamp. the preamp allows me to adjust between full tube and full solid state and anywhere in between. i would have thought that for recording guitars to be reamped later, then solid state would be better so theres less of a coloured signal. What do you guys think, solid state or tube setting?

thanks
Steve

Tube may add some nice coloration for clean stuff.
But if you are doing modern metal, solid state would probably be your best bet. Might aswell just try both and post clips for us :D
