Recording with Trigger + Cheap Drum Modul

Hi guys,

i've some questions about recording drums via trigger and how it works?

our set-up will be as follows:

• DDrum Trigger or TDrum Trigger
  http://www.thomann.de/gb/ddrum_triggerset.htm or http://www.thomann.de/gb/tdrum_trigger_set_komplett.htm (which one you think's better?)
• Cheap E-Drumcomputer w/ Midi Out and jack inputs for kick,snare,..
• Focusrite Saffire Pro 26

my thoughts:
the edrum module sends the midi signal to the saffire pro and from there i'll get the midi signal right in the daw,
then i just need to change the midi map and put SSD Kontakt on the track. win!

am i right or won't that work? :/

so first question is. the trigger output is xlr but the edrum inputs are jack, will that work?

second question. i want to trigger it with Steven Slate Samples, is that possible without Slate Trigger?

ok thanks a lot, i already ordered ssd. just need to know/test if the signal from the drummodule is usable, do you think it is?

edit: and btw, tdrum vs ddrum = same product, different name. Even the package says "ddrum's patented trigger".
