Red Eye (stupid?) question

Bought the Little Labs Red Eye a while ago in order to do some re-amping.
Things changed however and this re-amping thing have to wait...
Have to find some use for the Red Eye though!

I´m using an Presonus Firebox interface in my little recording set up at home and my question is: Could the Red Eye somehow be used to improve my tone when doing demo recordings using amp sims?

You can use it as a DI-box, but it's always subjective which tone is better. I found the Red Eye to be much darker in tone than my Fireface 400 DI was, for example.

Hm... I don´t get this...

I still need the Firebox in order to set the volume, as well as the firewire output to go into the computer/Logic.

Do you mean that I first should go into the Red Eye and then into the Firebox?
