Rediscovering Thrice's "The Artist in the Ambulance"

Glad I'm not alone on this!

Been listening to both Jonesy's and Greyskulls today a few times- both sound really good! Dare I say better than the original... and judging by some of the comments about the multis that would seem to make sense.

Just listened to the screaming Jeff was talking about- totally ridiculous. It's barely even there to the point where it's not actually adding anything to the mix besides some weird kind of hissing noise. Haha hadn't even noticed it before as someone's voice...

haha cool cheers mate!! Im pretty stoked with it!
Better than Andy Wallace... steady on.!
the multis are really interesting. Proper kitchen sink production!
i mate Dustin a few years back, and he said that they weren't happy with the mixes, felt they were really rushed.

Not a fan of Thrice to be honest... though when they released vheissu, my mate got it for his birthday and played it on repeat while we prepped for a messy night out on the town and the track "Image of the Invisible" is always on my iPod... one of the greatest examples of gang-vox...

Deadbolt ftw.

same here man. i remember being blown away when i heard that song. and to this day, ive never listened to anything that made me feel that way. except for some stuff off of Colony maybe. I know it wasn't anything special, but i just couldn't believe what i was hearing. i wish i could feel that again. i gave the new stuff a chance, but i just couldn't get into it. the illusion of safety definately changed my life. i dont even want to know how many times i listened to that cd. sorry, went off topic. i remember being beyond stoked for TAITA, i remember they released like a preview of all the songs, and silhouette had me sooo excited.
