Sorry, but I MUST vent....I can't believe that there is STILL no word on a US tour... :erk:

I've turned, literally, about 30 people on to ENCHANT from work/college....not to mention the ones over on a couple of RUSH boards, and a JOURNEY board I frequent....

I've sent burned copies of BOTW for these people, and got rave reviews asking where they can pick up your entire catalogue.... :Spin:

Not doing the US, would be like Colin Hay - not doing Australia! :yell:

Until The Station fire(Great White incident), that would have been an excellent venue.....People would have come, and people would still come...just announce it. :hypno:

I'm becoming extremely jaded....does it show? :loco:

but I'm serious at the same time......

I am full on with you...I am expecting nothing else but a US tour. Enchant's music is peaking and the fans deserve to see them live ... plus we all have the feeling that the band (at least Ed) wants to give it to us.
I'll be pissed, not at Enchant, but at the way the industry works if it doesn't happen. I bought BPotW when it originally came out on MC and bought every other release in order since...never have I been a fan of a band for so long withour seeing them live (except for Led Zep!). Now is the time and i will refer to this great song: STAND UP 'CAUSE THIS IS YOUR TIME!

Crossing my fingers,

JF

30 people? Bah.

I've had limited success...I've bought cd's for 3 other people, and only one of them liked it enough to pursue it further on his own so far...last I checked, he now owns all but Blueprint.

I'm not too discouraged. There'll be a day when they're tired of what they listen to, are looking for something new, and thats when they'll give it a better effort. Then they'll come back to me and praise me, send me money, and wash my car.

*dreams*

What? You don't believe I've hooked around 30 people?

Not everyone is dependent on what society SAYS to listen to...

Here's one response that I received just today on the RUSH board:

And here's some stuff from the JOURNEY board:

Just downloaded it and I like it. (Of course, I liked the other Enchant stuff you shared with us, too.) They still remind me a bit of Styx and Kansas. (Of course, I love Styx and have always liked Kansas, too.) Some GREAT guitar work in that track. Thanks for the link.

LOL....darn....Julie beat me to most of what I was gonna say!!

I like the instrumentation a lot! Great guitar work! This particular song doesn't have a tune that just "grabs" me and sticks in my head....but I am really enjoying the instrumentation I really like Blink of an Eye too, I'm looking forward to the release of Tug of War

I like it. The vocals definitely remind me of Kansas. The guitar riffs were surprising given the feel of the lyrics, but they complement each other quite nicely.

S t M your the greatest. We really appreciate it!

And we can surely understand the frustration of not knowing all the dates yet? It is really frustrating for us not being to make plans or know what is going to happen.

Its not at all out of the question that we will be back there. We were just hoping it would be right after that last London show so it would be a lot easier for everyone.

Inside Out are the best and work hard for us. It is very possibile there could be another scenerio but we just won,t know for a while. Right now all we have for sure is the European tour. The plans are however that we will come back and possibly make a live disc somehwere in the states. It would be most likely it would be here in San Fransico I would think?

I wish we knew more? If we did all of you would surely be the first to know.

We really want to thank everyone from all these threads for such enthusiam ans support. We really really appreciate it and will continue to work every angle for US dates!

:::: HIJACK ALERT :::

ebass listening to Eric Johnson! Man, he's one of my favorite guitarists! Although he's had some mainstream success, he's another artist that deserves more credit.

Frank

Edit: Bleh... what I meant above was that even though he has already received a small amount of recognition via maintstream success, he deserves more.

I am a HUGE Eric Johnson fan... I cannot get enough of his music... "Venus Isle" rules my stereo.

I hope Enchant can do a proper U.S. tour... (and hopefully Inside Out can help get a Pittsburgh date! That would be a dream for me and my Enchant-loving friends!)

Ed and Frank - I am a huge EJ fan too --- I remember the first time I heard Cliffs of Dover - nearly drove off the road jumping around in my car, LOL -- then I got the album and got hooked on the rest - especially Desert Rose and High Landruns!

PMF -- OK, deal? - if Enchant plays in the Burgh I'd drive up with my Enchanted friends....so if Enchant played here (Balto/DC) would you and your Enchanted friends drive down? :)

Well if Enchant goes to Steeler country, I suppose I might make the trip from the Cleveland area. Aside from the long drive, I'd have to venture into Steeler country... yuch!

Nah.. I'll wait for the Cleveland gig! :P

I first saw EJ on Austin City Limits, I had the tv turned down, but when I saw him play I just knew he was good so I turned (read cranked) up the volume. After that I bought what I could find.

I saw EJ open up for Rush, man that was an awesome concert.

Hey I saw Enchant open up for EJ :) it is true, a few years before I joined :) at some place in Berkeley?

Doug when was that like 86 or 85? I cant, even believe Tones has been out that long, and actually I think I need to change my top 5 alltime favs and include that one.

It blew me away when I first heard his "Tone" It has always been unmatched in my opinion. The first time I heard him live my ears were ringing for like a week, but it felt good :)

What about NoVa?

Preferably... I'd like to go to Baltimore.
