I've got some old homemade videos that years ago I convert from VHS to Divx at 950 Kbs.
Now I am converting those clips to MPEG2 as DVD Multiplexion (4500-7000 Kbs, it depends what video)
My question is if the new enconding will affect to the old Divx by a bit of loss quality or not.
Another way of asking it is that recompressing over and over again the same clip at for example 950 Kbs, would it affect or wouldn't do anything cause it is already compressed?
I think I should do the experiment but perhaps some wise Sneapster can answer the question.
