I still like Enemy of God a good deal

I liked Enemy of God too, I just didn't think it was as good as Violent Revolution. I think I was expecting it to be a little different also: more thrashy and less "heavy metal" 'ish.

I got the limited edition in the mail today. Awesome-looking booklet done by E. from Watain. I think it's a very solid album.

I ordered that limited edition version too, but haven't received it yet. Maybe tomorrow or something. Haven't downloaded it or anything, so I'm certainly still curious.

Are any of you guys returning it like The End said you could if you weren't satisfied? Or was that an April Fool's joke or something? :err:

I finally heard the entire album for the first time today. Terrible. Down-right terrible. Even if this were some new band, I would hate it. There were approximatley 60 seconds or so that seemed to have a hint of the greatness of the past...unreal.

I still think it's a solid album. Alas, the true heir to Storm of the light's bane is "Sworn to the dark" by Watain.

Watain has been gradually losing it since Rabid Death's Curse, unfortunately :erk:

As for Reinkaos... I'm surprised Jon didn't just save himself the trouble of recording such a waste of plastic and just off himself in jail.

"Sworn to the Dark" sounds pretty vapid, to be honest. A shame too, considering all the promise found in its predecessors.
I'm quite certain I read some interview before it was released where they said they dumbed it down to make it more accessible in order to snare more souls for satan or some crap like that, and dat shit ain't fly nigga. Focus on making kickassness instead next time please - that is, copy DMDS and early Dissection instead of DMDS and Reinkaos.

I also like the latest Watain a lot and think it's their best effort so far.

But then again, I'm here drinking beer and listening Richie Kotzen - Into The Black an enjoying it a lot too, so...

still haven't heard this, hopefully never will.

right now i'm listening to my gf's roommate watching some dancing contest show blasting a song that goes "party party people, we're party people yeah" and partying to the left, the right and such.
