Release Dates??

Can anyone tell why there’s not one uniformed release date for metal albums? I picked Arch Enemy’s Wages Of Sin album when it came out on April 2nd ,only later to find out that it has been released overseas for months. What’s up with that? Are the people overseas getting treated differently because they support the metal scene much more than in the States? Any ideas?

yes, that's why they generally get bonus tracks, too. I think it's really lame.

Wages of sin was only released in Japan months before the US, the european release was around the same time. I have no idea why.

Arch Enemy´s support in Japan are fantastic and huge... They released Wages Of Sin on a Japanese label (Toy Factory) month before other places as an act of respect... I got one too though (not the japanese), with the rare and unreleased tracks on a second disc also!
