Intro riff of "Until the End" (because its the best part of the song )

This one is more refined. The guitar tone needs a bit of work I think, it was done inside my little iso-box with a 1x12 since I couldn't crank the Windsor tonight. I'll probably reamp on my break tomorrow. If you want details, ask away!

:OMG: I love it! As usual!

the drums and bass are unreal!! This is superior?! And what bass and chain here?
The guitar tone is a wee bit off is lacking some of that amp growl, low end and clarity that the original has. I cant wait until this is through the your normal setup. :goggly:

Sounds a wee bit more sterile than Ben's mix of the original, but it's cool man. Maybe a bit too much ambiance on the snare? I think one of the appeals of that mix is that it sounds so natural, yet at the same time tightly mixed, which is something I guess you can't get so much from Superior.

Great choice of track though. I love listening to the end, over the extended chorus where he's doing all those tom fills.

There it is!! I actually like yours better than Bendeth's now lol, guess personal preference, little more energy in yours, little more forward and this has no more sterlileness to my ears like yesterday's. I am going to be pming you with a bunch of questions, so please save that project lol.:)

If I was comparing at all to the original the drums pop out a little more in the original. But I think thats just db and not mixing.

Awesome job!

Sounds beastly; the guitars are just a touch too "furry" in the low mids and as a result I feel there's not quite enough bite/presence for my tastes, but otherwise awesome!

Oh, but the pick attack overtone on that little intro lick is pretty distracting IMO

Sounds great man. If you could get the guitars a little more defined it would be perfect. BTW it's cool to see someone else here that's also into the huge modern rock sound and not just super brootz all the time. :D

I was trying to nail the tone of original. It's more mid focused.

That pick attack overtone is actually in the original too, I even played it on the same frets as he did!

I'm glad you like it. I feel like the guitars are pretty darned close to the original, so I don't wanna tweak much more. For a heavier style of music-more METAL oriented, I'd probably use more of a mid scooped, defined, high-fi sound. I actually moved the mic back a few inches from the cab for this one too!

Wow, listening to the original, your right, that pick attack is there (and is horrendous IMO :ill: ) However, the lead tone seems fuller in the original, so I guess it's not quite as noticeable. The rhythm guitars are indeed pretty damn close dude, so good job on that; I do feel the originals are still a bit clearer in the low mids that I mentioned, so it feels like it breathes better, but character-wise it's pretty much spot-on IMO!

Oh, but I do feel like your snare could pop through a bit more (could be the ambience Ermz mentioned)

I'll work on it. I cut a bit out of the mids on the leads, so we'll see if I can rectify that. I don't know how to get the snare more beastly without something like izotope.
