According to Postmedia News, the man who is suspected of killing five young people at a Calgary, Alberta, Canada house party Tuesday night posted the title of a MEGADETH song, "Dread And The Fugitive Mind", and album title, "The World Needs A Hero", on his Facebook page in the hours before the stabbings.23-year-old Matthew de Grood, a University of Calgary student who is also the son of a Calgary police officer, was an invited guest at the party, where university students were celebrating the last day of classes. The man arrived at the home, "obtained a large knife and targeted the victims one by one, stabbing them," Calgary Police Services Chief Rick Hanson revealed at a news conference.Four men including two members of the local band ZACKARIAH AND THE PROPHETS and a woman were killed."This is the worst mass murder in Calgary's history. We have never seen five people killed by an individual at one scene. The scene was horrific," Hanson said.Officers were able to track de Grood down 40 minutes later with assistance from the K-9 unit. After his capture, he had to be taken to the hospital for a dog bite.This is not the first time a MEGADETH song was linked to an act of violence in Canada. The track "A Tout Le Monde", which originally appeared on the band's 1994 CD "Youthanasia", created controversy in September 2006 because the song was cited in an online post by Dawson College killer Kimveer Gill as one of his favorites before his Montreal shooting spree. He killed one student and wounded nineteen others before committing suicide.
