Request: I need a few reference guitar-tracks from you

Hey guys.

After months of absence from this forum and recording itself, I found my way back to Logic and you guys

I don't know what happened in the meantime, but suddenly I hate my beloved Revalver and Amplitube-sounds I was so proud of. Just because I don't know, how close I am to the "real deal".

That beeing said, I wanted to ask you guys if some of you could provide me a few of your favourite raw and unmixed guitar-tracks (if possible with Equipment-info) for hearing-reference.

That would be awesome!

Maybe it would be easier if you deliver DIs and an example of your sound with an explanation of what sound you're after?

well, actually that's not what I'm after. I just want to have something "real" to reference to. With that reference, I want to explore the abilities of the amp-sims a bit more. You know what I mean?

Well, those are all mixed tracks. I hoped for solo'd tracks to concentrate on, you know. As I said before, just to listen and to compare to my amp-sims.

couple things ....

First welcome back

Next,

There has been a ton of debate and "shoot outs" when it comes to Sims vs The real thing. They always end the same, the sim sounds digital, or unrealistic in some way. Especially with Amplitube. Revalvers gets decent results but nothing gets rid of that digital harshness.

that being said, the best thing to do is look through the forum for DI;s that people have processed through real amps, and test your tones against those.
