For absent friends....because the song is superior to requiem in every way. More melodic, more inspired, multidimensional, and i like the melodies more.

But i still like requiem.

For Absent Friends is a delicate and touching song like Requiem, but I have to choose too.

I agree with Burning Sky, these songs are nothing alike. If you want to compare Requiem to something, Ending Credits would have been better, or Epilogue. If you want to compare For Absent Friends to something, compare it to Patterns in the Ivy or Madrigal.

But... if I have to choose between the two, I guess I'll go with FAF.

For Absent Friends, easily. It was the only part of Deliverance I didn't have to force myself to enjoy when I first heard it.
