which holds more power.....this show or the Spike TV Horror Movie Awards or the Spike TV video game awards show? These almost seem like a live 2 hour commercial.

Haha well the VGA awards are ACTUALLY pretty legit. Stoked that Red Dead Redemption deservingly won game of the year last year instead of some predictable bro-venture like Mass Effect 2 or Black Ops.

But yeah it's obvious that the Golden God awards aren't legit. I guess that's kind of the point though. Seemed like it was just a stupid fun party.

I look at those types of shows as non serious awards....like you said...more of a party and stuff. They are fun to watch.

Yes, but you missed the most important factor.
He won best drummer for his work with Avenged Sevenfold.

There is zero credibility with this.
Considering the labels who sponsor and advertise in REVOLVER, I would have hoped it would have at least a LITTLE bit involved the underground metal community.

HELLFUCKINGNO!!!!!! I saw it last year just out of more curiosity than anything else. I pretty much had my finger on the fast forward button the entire time.

This thing was pretty terrible last year and I'm betting it will be this year.
The guy who use to work for me designing my sites now works for Revolver and Guitar World doing their sites and he and I argue about Revolver and their selective idea of hard rock and metal and what "matters". One thing I do agree with him on is Revolver's world and mine are totally different.
But he did tell me there was a mention of Cirith Ungol in the office the other day, I suppose that gives them some metal cred. (is the sarcasm coming through?)
