Rick James Logo Font Question

Hey guys, this is bugging me right now and need some help. I'm looking at the Rick James - Street Songs album cover and the logo font for Rick James looks extremely familiar. For some reason I'm remembering a band/album with pretty much the exact same font and color scheme. Am I crazy?

Maybe I'm thinking of Diamond Head's or Sodom's logo, but I can't help but think there's another EXACT match out there..
