Today marks the 3rd year since Dio passed away. Let's share our favorite memories and first moments of hearing Dio.

I believe I first really heard Dio when I first heard Black Sabbath's "Heaven and Hell" album, although I was a fan of him previously. I also purchased Heaven and Hell's album "The Devil You Know" when it came out in 2009. Both those two were my first real exposure where I actually took notice of Dio's skill.

Now I worship mostly anything Dio.

I saw Heaven and Hell a few years back. They were incredible, of course and the power behind that man's voice blew me away. Trying to remember the first time I heard Dio is virtually impossible but that is one of my favorite memories. R.I.P., Ronnie!

RIP to one of the a true metal gods. He will never be forgotten.

I first heard him when checking out some of the later Black Sabbath albums. At first i didnt think he was a good fit for the band, and to this day prefer Ozzy BS over Dio BS, but LOVE his Sabbath albums none the less. It didn't take long for me to realize that he was easily one of the most talented vocalists around.

Can't remember when I first heard Dio, but I was lucky enough to see three times in concert (twice solo and once with Heaven & Hell).

I just finished spending the entire day listening to a 16.8 hour Dio playlist, drinking mead and ale, and eating Italian food. I shall now sleep.

I saw Heaven and Hell at the Bell Centre Arena in Montreal, Canada. I was not to familiar with Dio Sabbath besides the album Heaven & Hell, but it was still really good. I had a few Beers. It was cool.
