I have bought the DVD and I like the movie very much. Very funny with great music. It's about a heavy metal band in the 80s. The gay lead singer is leaving the band and his ex-bandmembers see a video tape of a tribute band. They are blown away by the singer and invite him to an audition, where they offer him the job right away. Sounds familiar, hm?
The members of "the band" (Steel Dragon) are played by Zakk Wylde, Jason Bonham, Jeff Pilson and two actors. Some of the lead vocals have been performed by Jeff Scott Soto.
The DVD has a lot of special features and there is even a web site about the fictional band "Steel Dragon". Check it out!
