RME Fireface DI help

Hi guys,

I'm trying to DI a guitar for re-amping,

its a passive pickup guitar T500 > Buzz Audio > FF800 > Nuendo

I'm thinking thats its gotta to go in via input 1, but not sure that I'm cutting out the fireface mic pre etc.

Anyone got any tips on how to get a decent DI from the above set up ?

Got any direct in's? I'd probably use them instead of a channel with a mic input/ pre.

thanks Dan, I think thats what I'm doing going in via channel "1" the instrument channel, just want to make sure that I'm avoiding the mic pre - which I think I may have to route via totalmix...thats what I don't quite understand

uhm, there is no mic preamp on channel 1 i mean, the pot that's there can add some gain, but i don't think it does anything to the signal if it's turned down.

and btw, you have to select the front panel input in the ff800 options instead of the rear panel one, if it's not selected already.

oops, I didn't even realize you were using a DI box anyway, select the rear panel input for the first input, or just use the second input
