Fireface Instrument Input vs DI

Anyone tried the instrument input on their Fireface 400/800 for guitar instead of a DI box? Any difference in audio quality compared to using a dedicated DI?

Only used it, never used a DI personally.

Good to know.....basically am trying to eliminate a problem I've been having with reamping guitars. I tracked a couple of guitar parts via my Sansamp Bass Driver DI in passive mode which I'd assumed would just act as a normal passive DI but when running these tracks out via my Radial ProRMP reamp box the results were less than spectacular.

I'll try retracking using the instrument input and see how I go.
