RME hammerfall multiface owners

I recently purchased the first version of the RME Hammerfall DSP Multiface and was surprised by the lack of bass via the headphone output. Compared to my previous Presonus Firebox the difference is huge.

Anyone else had similar experiences with this card? I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and purchase separate amp to get some low end out of my cans. I'm using Beyerdynamic dt 880 @ 250 ohm.

i have it but i didnt notice a lack of bass, though i dont use the headphones too much, just for tracking

I used to own a Multiface I and now a Fireface. I could not tell the difference with my AKG K271 II, but a clearer sound overall.
