BW&BK has learned that organizers of the Nightmare Festival, to be held at Bourbon Street, in New Port Richey, FL over Easter weekend, March 21-22, approached ROB ROCK to headline the closing evening. However, the Florida native had to turn down the opportunity, due to a conflicting date, in Mexico. As previously reported, thus far the lone act announced for the two-day event is San Diego, CA based traditional metallers, CAGE.

Well, Sumbitch!

I can confirm this, man how did that get out on Brave words so fast....anyway I got an email from Rob earlier this evening, Rob was one of the first people I thought of and wanted at the event.

Rob expressed how much he wanted to the the show....but this evening I received an email that he was unable to attend, but wants to be a part of the next one.

Damn!!!!! Oh well, now go after John West, or Pagan's Mind. Opps they can't come due to touring conflict.

Just received this from Rob regarding the festival, and the conflicts, and then more conflicts with the conflicts...lol. Lance

Hi Lance,
I just got word that Mexico is now moving the fest there to November .....
Anyways, we can't afford to get the Swedes over here for one gig so I > hope to at least come down myself and hang for the weekend if > possible.
Maybe I can sign or sit in or just kick it and enjoy the show.
Hope to see you there in March....and then play on 2009 if possible!
Take care,
Rob

So, I'm thinking to myself.....hmmmm possibilities ; )

Hmmmmmmmm Lance and Rob Rock doing some duets together. Now that is worth going!!!!!!!1

Damn, could he assemble some local guys to play with him? Maybe some band in Orlando that he could put together a set with or one of the bands already scheduled to be there could learn some RR tunes? Get him there for sure and a performance would be a bonus under these circumstances.

Well, you know, once upon a time, Rob's band was from Orlando. I know Rick Renstrom is still there, and the rest of the former band is more than likely still around...

well I was getting Rob Rock, they couldn't make my show, but you guys all showed your interest and Glenn obviously noticed ; ) So he added them in the open slot at Prog Power fortunately that worked out for everyone, Rob will still be at Nightmare Fest, we'll have to get him on the stage at some point during one of the sets!!!

That would be really cool. Rob has a killer voice. His latest album is chock-full of riffs and great vox.
