ROCK STAR: ANTHRAX

God, I think that's the worst thing that Anthrax could do at this point. Lowering themselves to "American Idol"-like levels would kill their credibility.

That said, doing something like the supergroup with Ted Nugent is a little different - that's not meant to be a permanent thing, more to have some fun and let off some creative steam.

I wouldn't watch. One, because I think it's stupid, two because I never have time to watch TV.

I missed EVERY episode of supergroup and I actually really did want to see it! Like I said, no time for the TV! I think that show came on Sunday nights? And Sunday nights are for practice and cartoons.

speaking of..... anyone listen to that RockStar Supernova CD?

Heard it live on New Year's Eve at the Hard Rock. Not the best show I've ever been to. Newstead didn't even play, he got hurt or something, but they had Johnny Colt from the Black Crowes. Don't ask how I ended up there, wasn't my choice. At least it was free! The things we do for nookie...... haha
Anyway, I've heard a couple songs off the CD. Not overly impressive. And to think that the poor guy actually thought it was a good thing to win that damn show. He'll never be heard from again!

If Anthrax does this, I'm turning to country, I swear!

In all honesty and fariness, it's actually quite good, if you're into nice, kind of "classic" hard rock vibe... It sure does sound out of time, but it's got some good things going on for it: Great production, obviously good musicianship, and some of those songs have some great hooks. Unfortunately, people are a bunch of tight-assed jerks and the band was dead before it even took off...

It's worth at least a download to check it out... BUT only if you like hard rock... don't expect a metal album or anything... Anyways, I liked it more than most of last year's releases (and it beats the crap out of bands like Audioslave and Velvet Revolver and whatnot, IMO)
