...so this is a "novelty" project that these guys are doing. It's crazy...you've got to listen to this! :rock: The entire album is suppose to be fun as hell!

I've been listening to a lot of mashups lately so I'm really enjoying this. Was posted on another forum I go to a few days ago.

The lead singer was the voice of Wakko in Animaniacs and the announcer for America's Funniest Home Videos.

I bought this album as soon as i heard they were playing with danger danger at the melodic rock fest, Jess Harnell is not only one of my fav. voice actors now he is one of my fav. singers I really like Crazy Girl, and Shook me like a Prayer, great album. If you guys join there facebook all the fans on certain days will email a late night show to try to push them towards getting rock suger to play them on the show, so that would be cool if u guys that like them would join their facebook and help them out a bit.

I'm only on my first cup of coffee...or maybe I'm just getting older and crankier, but it's mildly annoying that jerk-off bands like this get a budget to cut an album and produce vids while real bands with talent go ignored. Just further illustrates how dumb our reality-TV-watching society is becoming. They sound great, though, and it kinda make me wanna dig out some Tyketto or Trouble Tribe from the collection and crank it up!

Yes, it's funny, for about a minute, then I got bored and moved on. I did get a chuckle out of You Shook Me Like A Prayer, which was not what I thought it was going to be...ha!

+1 Right on, brother!:rock::kickass:

I'd have to disagree. There's nothing wrong with being entertained. They are talented and there is a market for what they're doing. It's nostalgic, sure, but it's fun. There's nothing wrong with a band putting some fun into some rock & roll.

If any "real bands with talent" were recording music that thousands wanted to hear and see and had a really good buzz building about them, would you call them an "annoying jerk-off band" as well?

Nope; these days many of us* would think "thousands of people want to see these guys?! Pah. Pop-metal!" <dismiss>

--Regardless of the talent displayed.

* 'us' = people who purportedly love bands with talent

Absolutely! Some people just miss the point of stuff like this. Steel Panther being another example.

LOL

People who know my posts here know that I never try to start a ruckus, but I was just curious. Apparently I'm in the majority that think these guys are pretty cool. But Pain of Salvation bores me to tears so to each their own right? :kickass:

Nope...but I think that last comment has a bit of an "annoying jerk-off" quality to it...thanks a lot, Creeps!

I think they're fun, which is great, and, if I were drinking a beer in a club where they were playing, it would probably be a fun night. Getting excited about an album or a video or their overall concept, however, is a bit of stretch for what is basically an overglorified cover band.

Also, I remind you that I was still nursing my morning coffee and feeling cranky...so suck it, OK? (Damn...guess I'm still cranky...!)

Rock on!

That's cool.. I was just asking a question using your own words. There have been lots of "fun" metal bands over the years, granted not "mash up" bands. Scatterbrain & Skraap Mettle come to mind.
