Roland JC-120

Im due to track some clean guitar parts in the next few days thru a roland jc-120 i recently got hold of.

Has anyone on here ever miced a jc-120 with the stereo chorus using 1 mic on each speaker to achive a nice stereo clean guitar sound?

Or do you guys think id be better off just recording each part twice, mic the best sounding speaker and pan each part left and right?

I personally never miced a JC-120, but as far as I remember from the 80's, it's main personality comes from the built-in STEREO chorus. That said, NOT micing it stereo would be blasphemy ;-)
