Just snaffled Roland kick and snare triggers on eBay for £50.

What cables should I use with them? I was planning on using two of the analog ins on my Digi 002R, so will I get balanced or unbalanced jack to jack cables?

Cheers

use balanced jack-xlr cable, or normal unbalanced jack-jack.....it's a trigger, you don't need balanced signal imo.
I have one of this, and work pretty awesome.

Thanks man, I thought unbalanced would be the way of it. They should be here tomorrow. Which is good because I'm recording drums this weekend :)

i believe the snare trigger is dual zone that has rim shot,
if you are using a roland v drum module that supports rim shot you can use a balanced/stereo jack cable and trigger rimshots from errr... physically doing a rimshot :)

I'm just planning on using them when I'm recording drums for triggering. I'll see when I get them home, they'll be here tomorrow

Ah ok, well at a risk of making things complicated, if your drummer does rimshots you could try using a y lead (stereo jack to 2 mono jacks)
otherwise just carry on with the mono jack for normal hits

I've not read any horror stories about them breaking all the time(DDrum), hence the purchase!
