He can't be a wanker, he's been dead for the last 35 years

Go and play every post-67 Beatles album backwards and the truth will be revealed!
I'm a latecomer to this thread, so I'll just briefly summarise my position.
BEATLES: Greatest and most influential band in the history of rock n' roll. So there.
STONES: Never really got into them apart from a handful of songs eg Paint It Black, Get Off My Cloud and Sympathy For The Devil.
THE WHO: Second greatest and most influential band in the history of rock n' roll. So there.
LED ZEPPELIN: Third greatest and most influential band in the history of rock n' roll. So there.
CREAM: Psychedelic blues rock at its best, which surpasses anything else Clapton has done since 1968. Cream were rock's first "supergroup." All damn fine musicians with egos to match. Like Sprucey said, check out the most recent "Very Best Of" first, then investigate the original three studio albums.
If you like Cream, you might also like BBM's "Around The Next Dream" (1994). It's Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker with Gary Moore in place of Clapton.
