Rolling Stones on 60 minutes...

Not one day. Now. Or tomorrow, depending on when the shops are open. Maybe the next day if you can't be bothered going out tomorrow. Get something by Cream. You can usually find pretty cheap Cream stuff somewhere. Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker

Cream are very good Spifferino. I like Cream alot better than Clapton solo stuff.
There are some mind-bogglingly good songs on the Very Best of Cream album (white cover with pink faces of the 3 members). If you havnt heard the guitar solo from Crossroads, then you need to go and listen to it right now. Genious. I also really like the Bluesy 'Sitting on top of the world'.
There are alot of great songs on that best of album.

Oh... and the beatles

I wanna see Paul McCartney in concert, but he is only playing in Melbourne!! why is that?!?!

Don't worry, he's "done a Maiden" and cancelled on us. Out of "respect for those affected by Bali". Pfffft.

And he was only playing Melbourne 'cause the Vic government was basically subsidising the show and paying him to play.

McCartneys a wanker! *clap clap clap clap clap* Mccartneys a wanker! *clap clap clap clap clap*

He can't be a wanker, he's been dead for the last 35 years
Go and play every post-67 Beatles album backwards and the truth will be revealed!

I'm a latecomer to this thread, so I'll just briefly summarise my position.

BEATLES: Greatest and most influential band in the history of rock n' roll. So there.

STONES: Never really got into them apart from a handful of songs eg Paint It Black, Get Off My Cloud and Sympathy For The Devil.

THE WHO: Second greatest and most influential band in the history of rock n' roll. So there.

LED ZEPPELIN: Third greatest and most influential band in the history of rock n' roll. So there.

CREAM: Psychedelic blues rock at its best, which surpasses anything else Clapton has done since 1968. Cream were rock's first "supergroup." All damn fine musicians with egos to match. Like Sprucey said, check out the most recent "Very Best Of" first, then investigate the original three studio albums.

If you like Cream, you might also like BBM's "Around The Next Dream" (1994). It's Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker with Gary Moore in place of Clapton.
