I thought it kinda suited the style to be honest.
Wouldn't work for most other stuff, but I think that somewhat stuffy tone is kinda cool for KSE-ish stuff

Sure, if you're into borderline cocked-wah esque lack of top end and an overall stuffy, smallness to the mix.

Even if it isn't the best tone. I still realized how much I prefer my 5150 to a dual rectifier anyday.

Yeah on second listen it's not as bad as when I first woke up this morning - agreed that a 5150 suits this way more than a Recto!

The recto seemed kinda hollow in the midrange.
I've always heard them to be extremely grainy as well. 5150 ftw
