ROYAL ANGUISH moves official forum to UM

Hey all - just wanted to let you know that ROYAL ANGUISH has moved our official forum to UM.

For those who haven't heard of us, we are an extreme metal band hailing from Central Florida with dualing male and female vocals. We recently signed a deal with FEAR DARK Records (The Netherlands). They will be doing a Euro release of our most recent EP, entitled Tales of Sullen Eyes, and we are set to go into the studio in September to start production of our next full length cd.

Tales of Sullen Eyes was recorded by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal / ex-Morbid Angel) at Mana Studios in Tampa, FL.

I'll take that as a compliment... but it is quite funny you say that because I am not really a fan of that band in particular... so any real similarities would be mere coincidence.

Well, I only heard one song, so I can't really give a full perspective.

The guitarwork was ace.

Of course - one of things about our band is that we are pretty diverse so one song does not show everything aspect. Thanks for the compliments on the guitar work. I will pass that on to the other half of the guitar duo (myself and the lead guitarist Marius).

Tales of Sullen Eyes is already out (it can be picked up off of our website)... the FEAR DARK version is remastered and will have different artwork.

In answer to your question yes - the majority of the songs very much in the realm of Twisted Angel, very heavy with other elements adding some flavor, as opposed to older material (Mysterion) which was more new age / avant garde / hybrid metal with hints of heaviness.

The new material we will be recording for the upcoming full length (currently untitled) should be our heaviest, but at the same time most diverse cd yet. ll the songs are written and we go in in September to start tracking.
