It's finally here, you can now hear clips from the soon to be released Royal Hunt CD "Paper Blood" on their web site at www.RoyalHunt.com I have to say This may be their best to date. New guitarist Marcus Jidell kicks ass and as usual John West blows the room off with his voice, he may be the best in metal today, Check this out if you want a treat. Also check out LEE Z, where did this band come from truly kickass band.

I listened to some songs off the album and in my very honest opinion, I am very very underwhelmed. The best Royal Hunt was by far with DC Cooper.

Nobody will deny that. Paradox and Moving Target stand ahead of everything else.

That being said, I think Paper Blood is an excellent release.

Paradox is and will always be their masterpiece. However, John West has done a great job with them thus far and I personally digged their last release with West. Looking forward to the new one.

I must be in the minority here... I loved Paradox, and I love John West's work with both Artension and his solo albums, but I cannot get into ANY Royal Hunt with John on vocals. It bores me senseless.

I like DC Cooper as a singer better, but I much prefer Royal Hunt with John West. "The Mission" is my favorite album with them, although judging by the sound clips Paper Blood could top that.

For me, Royal Hunt is always hit or miss. I really liked Moving Target, the Mission, and KIngdom Dark, but hated Paradox, Fear, and Eyewitness.
