Sabaton- Uprising!

I think it's a solid album (after listening to it a couple of times). Good songs, hooks are there, but nothing groundbreaking, even for Sabaton.

As Glenn said, the potential for songs like Uprising to go well live, is incredible. I do think, however, that they coul have experimented a tad more with some songs. Good album nonetheless.

Now, I was going to bring up that this is a short album. But considering the style of music and the direction, I think it's about as long as it should be. Not too long, which prevents it from feeling repetitive. What do you guys think?

Oliva wept.

These keyboards are much different than Oliva keyboards though. Oliva typically has a piano sound, this is more like keyboard synths. With that said, I don't mind it with Sabaton, though on occasion maybe it's a bit too much.

I am liking this tune though. Didn't like the first one they released though.

and not 41 and certainly not 43 minutes! i have never heard of someone limiting the amount of music they expect from a band, and that it's 42 minutes makes it even better. ;)

What Cheiron probably meant is that he/she could only handle about 42 minutes. I can see that with certain bands. Why 42 though I don't know. That's a weird number.

42 is around the lenght of Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (the song). Don't ask me how I remember this.

Also, if you multiply the total length of every single Petrucci solo and divide it by the number of concerts Sabaton played last year, you'll get that exact number: 42. Also, if I recall correctly, it was 42 times that Glenn posted about the non-digital camera rule at ProgPower.

Jeez. What kind of fan are you that you don't know this shit?

There's a method to the madness. Cheiron is 100% correct. 42 is THE number.
