Posted: January 11, 2011 by sglentertainment in Music News

We are pleased to announce that the Chicago based Progressive Power Metal Band “Sacred Dawn” have inked a deal with Dark Star Records. With an innovative mix of heavy metal and hard rock plus a unique blend of vocal harmonies, Sacred Dawn has been said to deliver one of the most original progressive metal musical experiences heard since the dawn of true prog metal. Sacred Dawn pulls their influence from bands such as Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Nevermore, Queensryche, Savatage, Fates Warning and many others. From their numerous live appearances across the Midwest to playing alongside international acts such as Symphony X, Cage, Firewind, Kamelot, and Epica, Sacred Dawn has garnered critical acclaim as well as fans around the world. Dark Star Records will be releasing the long awaited sophomore album entitled “a Madness Within” in the spring of 2011. This new 10 song concept album was produced by Sacred Dawn and Chuck Macak of Electrowerks Music and includes a full color 16 page booklet.

Look for a special pre order sale at www.DarkStarRecords.com before the album is released worldwide.

Had a chance to check them out a few years back when they made the trek to Minnesota. I wasn't terribly impressed when I was listening to the music online in the week prior, but changed my tune once I saw them live. Great show. Congrats to them on the signing!
