yeah pet death upsets me way more than people death

jodi wanted to be a vet but once she realized you have to put some animals to sleep she said forget it. but she deals with people being sick/hurt/dying every day as a nurse- i think it's the intrinsic genuine innocence of the animals that makes her unable to see them hurt, whereas people pretty much deserve what they get.
