Safari is out for windows!

You know what. I think I'm gonna buy a mac. Just so I can run Safari in its native enviroment.

I've got money to blow, and lots of it.

< Goes iBook shopping.

does it utilize hyperthreading technology? does it uses a decent size cache for stored photos?

the only thing i found appealing was the button that lets you go back to the original source search.

i'll stick with opera.

is this a ram hog like i.e.?

And its broken already! Fuck Safari!

"David Maynor, infamous for the Apple Wi-Fi hack, has discovered bugs in the Windows version of Safari mere hours after it was released. He notes in the blog that his company does not report vulnerabilities to Apple. His claimed catch for 'an afternoon of idle futzing': 4 DoS bugs and 2 remote execution vulnerabilities." Separately, within 2 hours Thor Larholm found a URL protocol handler command injection vulnerability that allows remote command execution.

Oh come on. What kinda pretentious idiot needs Hyperthreading in a internet browser?

I use X2-64 anyway, so I could care less.

Lemme guess, you'd want dual core support in that case, so you can load your nude pictures of Jeff Hardy in one tab on one core, and suck with the other core?

As for it being broken? Take a look at all the holes found in Firefox 2 when it was released. IE7 too. Opera even.

Theres holes in everything, and theres always some douche with too much free time who goes around looking for any possible ones.

The pretentious idiot who loves the best possible browsing performance.

ok. x2 64 IS A DUAL CORE PROCESSOR. wow. really funny remark about jeff hardy. good thing in utah the only pussy you see are dometicated felines. I bet the last time you had pussy was when pussy had you.

Opera is still faster than safari (for me), and implements bittorrent for faster downloading of large files.

browser patches between Feb 2003 and Jan 2007: IE6 -- 67% patched (out of 110 reported bugs).
IE7 -- 25% patched (out of 4 reported bugs).
Firefox 1 -- 87% patched (out of 39 reported bugs).
Firefox 2 -- 50% patched (out of 4 reported bugs).
opera 8 -- 100% patched (out of 15 reported bugs).
opera 9 -- 100% patched (out of 3 reported bugs).
Safari 1 -- 93% patched (out of 15 reported bugs).
Safari 2 -- 33% patched (out of 6 reported bugs).

so in summation, opera is STILL faster, uses less cpu, has better plugin extensions and has all holes fixed.

Do note, Safari 1 & 2 are Mac exclusives. Certain bugs/exploits don't need to be bothered with, due to the user base and what they do. Fix what needs to be fixed, fuck the rest. Thats the programming world for you.

Secondly, if I'm looking for good plugins, Firefox is where to go. A massive library of such.

Thirdly, BUGS are not SECURITY HOLES.

I dislike opera, but I use it as a website test, as well as Safari and IE 5.5. Firefox still will forever remain my main browser.

i like itunes a lot. easily the best playlist/music device i've ever used. (winamp and wm have been nothing but balls for me)

safari has me interested, but i think i may be a firefoxer for life. love the name.

also, i tried opera out and it was balls, too.
