I LOVE SALADS!
I eat them every day almost for dinner.

My dinner salad: 2 tomatos chopped,
One orange bell pepper chopped
little bit shredded cabbage,
1 avarage size cucumber chopped.
1 tbsp parsley
1/5 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp olive oil

GREAT dinner! I love putting sour cream on top as well.
A true Israeli dinner and a healthy salad!

hey, wait, mine is similar! just that I don't eat it for dinner, because I mainly don't eat dinner (mostly never).

tomato, pepper (red, I'm not fond of green, although they serve it in Greece a lot, but it doesn't have a good taste, ), the size of the cucumber doesn't really matter, it's just not supposed to be too tiny ( :loco: ), onion (wooh, haha), and I don't use parsley, but oregano, too much of it :Smug: , olive oil and nothing sour. oh, and salt, yes. mainly I don't add feta cuz I don't like it but when we have guests Nick adds it (in another bowl) so people can enjoy it. and they really do.

oh, the lemon juice I use when I make cabbage salad. cabbage with grated carrot. :)

I just made a random salad that turned out to be quite awesome.

A half green salad
One tomato
One shredded carrot
Two passion fruits
Ham
Crabsticks
Cheese

Forgot to mention that I also had this great "secret" mustard-like dressing on it.
 
wow.... this is like therapy, it´s bringing people together.

my salad is pretty simple

half cucumber chopped in pieces
a handful of green salad
0 carrots (death to all carrots)
alot of (cashewnuts? is it called that in english?)
(fetacheese? same goes for this O_o)
2 tomatoes chopped into 12 pieces (very important that it´s done correctly)

that´s it, nice and simple...pardon my english, it´s difficult when it comes to salad O_o
 
I eat salad almost daily now since I'm on a diet. I usually buy that pre-made shit and then add large shrimp and croutons with pepper and balsamic dressing (Newman's Own). I pan sear a nice piece of fish, preferably medium-rare yellowfin tuna, to eat on the side. That shit is fucking good.

Yeah but croutons are full of fat and are bad for your diet, and shrimp has waaay too much protien in it... why on earth are you on a diet Trace?!



Tee: when I said "avarage size cucumber" I meant the regular ones you can find
in all Mediterranean countries haha, here in the states
they have the HUGE ones (I hate those.. they are flavorless)
and both you and I make similar salads! Its Mediterranean style and it rules!
I also make the cabbage carrots one you were talking about :)


Here's another salad I make a lot:
baby greens,
wallnuts,
FRESH figs (kinda hard to find, I usually get them at Whole foods) - cut
to quarters
REAL goat cheese, the sharper the better,
vinnigrette for dressing: YUM YUM!

I only put on a few croutons just to make it not so bland and to add contrasting texture. I'm lifting so I need the protein from the shrimp. As for why..... when I go pee, I can only see half!
