SansAmp Bass driver Impulse ?

Hep folks,

Do you know if it has ever been done ?

If I understood somethin about impulse, plugging the sansamp to the interface, getting it through the monitors and sending a "wave" could allow us to generate a impulse of the duet sansamp-monitors !!

Feel free to philosophize about it

bass thru ampeg svx plugin sounds better,than the same bass-thru sans amp.

No ill-will meant, but I have to disagree. After the entire recording and release of the "Dark Fiber" album, I was finally able to get a Sansamp BDDI. I have been using the exact same basses (one with actives and one with passives) through it as I used to get the "Dark Fiber" tone. In order to get the tone we liked for that album, we combined a mic'ed SVT and the DI (for active bass) and added a GS2 plugin to the mic/DI combo for the passive bass. Now, this is not a direct comparison with the IK/Ampeg SVX plug, but from what I've heard, I don't think it is any better than the Sansamp. I get a grind from the Sansamp that I just can't get without it.
