"Ah! My nail! :(" :D

Aja, hey there. It's Gregg from NY. I just want to say thanks again for taking time to talk to me after the show. My buddy Jay, was telling me how much he enjoyed the show as much as I did. I have been listening to the CD I bought last night...oh I also forgot to mention my mom likes an Iron Maiden tune....Run To The Hills! I guess hearing me listening to Metal all the time-whether it's Maiden, KISS, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Queensryche, Slayer, etc...she catches on quick to a few tunes.

I played some of the CD in the car tonight after coming back from dinner and she dug it!

Anyway, thanks again for everything hope to talk again soon. Be safe and well. Ciao for now. :headbang:

Hey Gregg
It was nice meeting you, too! Glad you and Jay made it out to the show and that ya had a good time!

Hahaha - that's great about your mom - she sounds like a very cool lady- tell her we said thanks and glad she liked it!

I don't think you're joking so I think I should explain that it's meant to be bullet holes - if you look at the one that Bruce carries, it's exactly the same. A war torn flag that was carried through battle.

Thanks for 'splainin' 'bout the flag, Jenna - though your thoughts on that are totally understandable, Moonliteem- the wartorn flag look is relatively new for Maiden, if I'm not mistaken - & we were inspired to emulate the look of the flag by that very picture!

Well, you learn something new every day! I stood looking at it thinking..poor thing, it's all battered and torn and sad LOL

No problem hun! I'm sure I posted that pic a while back, so maybe that's where you saw it? :D

I have to agree, Aja you and the band really do a fantastic job tributing Maiden.

I will definately pass the message on to mom. We just returned back to New York yesterday. We definately already miss Cali. It was in the 70s and we get to NY it was in the 30s and there's STILL snow on the ground. I did get a call back for work (at Guitar Center in La Mesa out of all places!) But the guy who I needed to speak with was away for a few days...so it looks like I will be back in Cali in almost a week!

I been listening your CD (constantly) and I just love the version of Children Of The Damned, Wasted Years, Hallowed Be Thy Name & Run To The Hills you did. Those are my four favorite Maiden songs!

Anyway, if you ever get to play The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY...I will try my damndest to make it to see you there!!!

Yes indeed! :)

You guys always help us so much to keep our interpretation as close to the real thing as we can! :headbang:

Its definatley time the maidens came to the UK.

As for venues, just shout out, I am sure metallicat and us other Scots, brits possibly even taffs could oblige.

What sort of crowd size makes it worthwhile for you guys to do a show?

I know where I am in the summer we have an "art" festival. Usually means all the numpty's go watch street theatre and all the kids and the metal heads go watch bands. Usually a huge outdoor stage.....and I mean proper concert stage. This thing runs in August.

previous years, we have had: The levellers, the bluetones, Sixth, Biffy Clyro, Hot chocolate. Along with crap like will young and gareth gates.

Oh and this could help: tells you whats going on: http://www.england-rocks.co.uk/index2.php

Anyone have an in with an airline that we can get excellent fares on? That's the only thing keeping us from going there! :)  :)

I don't have any "IN" with an airline, but I do travel a lot and am always checking prices. What I've noticed is flights to the UK/Europe are very cheap in the winter months. I've seen prices as cheap as $350 r/t. There's lots of search tools out there, but this one I've found some great deals on (in fact there are some UK discounts on there now):

Good luck! ...take me with you, I can fit in your luggage :loco:

What a great show. I tell you...you know you love The Iron Maidens, when you (Moonliteem and myself) leave The Who concert an hour into it, to make sure you don't miss any of The Maidens' setlist....and they did NOT dissapoint!

The new Adrienne Smith was really terrific. Seriously...not just saying that cause I know she'll read this...LOL. I was worried about the new member being able to nail Adrian's parts, and she was really fantastic!

Setlist....and remember...I generally suck at setlists...so this will not be 100% in order (probably not even close), and I may forget a song...but they DID play all of these...

Aces High
Die With Your Boots On
Revelations
The Clairvoyant(!)
Another Life(!!!!)
Wasted Years
The Trooper
Phantom Of The Opera
Sanctuary
The Number Of The Beast
The Prisoner
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Fear Of The Dark
Run To The Hills

Ladies...as always...thank you so much for a fantastic show. Sarah....big time devil horns to you...you're the most fun person in the world to watch on stage, and you have Dave Murray in your soul!

Oh...sorry we didn't stick around to say hello...my friend had to get going.

BTW....ladies....I was with 4 other friends....and it was ALL our birthdays! ;)

Last thing.... Aja said before one of the songs (thought it was Another Life) that we had not heard this one from them before. But checking the list...they've played all these songs. Not complaining...there were a few really nice surprises...but which song has we not heard before?

Wow it was a good show. Thanks for the info.
