Satriani sues Coldplay

It's certainly happened before:

George Harrison was sued for "My Sweet Lord" as it was a carbon copy of The Chiffons' hit "He's So Fine." Harrison had to pay Royalties.

Same with Ray Parker Jr. theme song of the movie, "Ghostbusters" as it was a note-for-note ripoff of Huey Lewis' "I want a new drug"

Wether intentional or not, these things happen.... and the infringing artist usually winds up paying for it.

who was it who got sued for plagerizing themselves?? that is funny shit..

Im not convinced that coldplay would rip off satriani... it is similar granted....

They DID however rip of Kraftwerks 'computer love' for the song 'speed of sound' but seemingly had that one cleared (in the liner notes) ... FUCKERS

That Gary Moore thing is FUCKED UP!

How did he lose THAT case. The song isnt even on record!
douche bags

didn't ulrich sue somebody for a metallica riff rip off? (riff off?)

Same with Ray Parker Jr. theme song of the movie, "Ghostbusters" as it was a note-for-note ripoff of Huey Lewis' "I want a new drug"

what does NIN owe, then?
