Satyricon and Fear Factory to be the guests on Headbangers Ball . . .

I missed 45 minutes of HBB. Damn, metal videos suck.

Here's what I saw:

System of a Down - Sugar
The singer's voice is annoying. Dumb song.

In Flames - The Quiet Place
Is Friden trying to be Jon Davis? He sounds like him and has the dreadlocks now. The song sucked.

Most Precious Blood - Great Red Shift
Meh...

Soulfly - Prophecy
Max went from a pretty good thrash band to this nu-metal crap?

Six Feet Under - Bringer of Blood
THis song had two lyrics. Very generic death metal

Fear Factory - Cyberwaste
Not my favorite song off Archetype, but it was the best song on HBB. Vdeo was kinda dumb though

Haste - Stutter
THis sounds more like Foo Fighters than metal. Wasn't too bad actually.

Kataklysm - As I SLither
Boring.

HIMSA - Rain to the Sound of Panic
Worse than SOAD, and that's pretty damn bad.

Fear Factory - Linchpin
Awful nu-metallish video. I like the song, though.

Deicide - Scars of the Crucifix
Is this what Deicide is like? This was horrible!

Killswitch Engage - Rose of Sharyn
Yawn.

BEETHOVEN - Ninth Symphony
too long. not interesting. is this guy tone-deaf or something?

VIVALDI - Four Seasons
sweet sissy crap. who cares about the seasons anyway?

MOZART - Symphony No. 40
boring.

BACH - Brandenburg Concertos
stupid. sucked.

HANDEL - Water Music
more like piss music.

LULLY - L'Orchestre du Roi Soleil
meh...

Fuck cable, and fuck the new Heabbaenrrs's Ball.

BWD is on a roll today, is teh funnay x12047120470295.

Unfortunately the HBB episode sucked (as Dreamlord pointed out). Last week Norma Jean was one of the guests and they obviously set part of the playlist. Converge 'Fault and Fracture' was played for Gods sake! That was AWESOME.

Evergrey was the other guest last week, and they obviously picked nothing but Swedish metal videos . . . which was good for the most part. Entombed, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon, etc.

Too bad Satyricon didn't get to pick any of the playlist. I don't understand the point of having them on if all they do is play one video and let them talk for 2 seconds. Oh . . . and one of the guys in Satyricon got a bottle smashed in is face, and he was all stitched up and stuff. It looked painful.

I think it is funny that more bands where Today is the Day and Neurosis shirts than almost any other band's shirt I've seen . . . yet Today is the Day NEVER gets any play time and Neurosis never has that I've seen (although somebody said they did).

Yeah, that one cracked me up.

J. - you drift through life looking for the bad in everything. Ever tried just NOT watching it?! You're like an old man with a stick already. "Damn those pesky varmin kids!". :loco:

JayK - you sound exactly like my fiance. Summer, is that you? And plus, the majority of things in life are bad. You have to sift through all the shit to find the good. ANd by the time you find the good, you realize your search wasn't worth it. Tell me I'm wrong.

THe only reason I watched it was because Nate reminded me it was on, and I wanted to see Fear Factory. If he wouldn't have said anything, I wouldn't have known it was on.

I will admit it was cool seeing these bands on TV, even if it was crappy songs and videos.

Even Summer sad after the show was over: "I was listening to those songs and there was one that sounded like Tool and I liked that one. I just don't like the growling vocals. There was one song where the guy quit growling and I could clearly hear the guitars and drums and that sounded good."

You're wrong! I see the good things in life and focus on them. It's a positive outlook, as opposed to negative.
