Hail metal merchants! Just wondering if any of you knew of any Saxon cover bands. Well, myself and a few friends have finally decided to get one going. We'll be mainly covering material up to POWER AND THE GLORY. Here's our line up:


Vocals: Sean Smithson (Sacrilege BC, Grinch)
Guitar: Sean McGrath (Impaled)
Gutiar: Pete "The Door Corpse"
Drums: Chris Kontos (The Servants, Machine Head, Attitude Adjustment, etc...)
Bass: Myself

I know there was one around in the UK at one point called Claxon. Never saw them though.

Of course there is that other one called Oliver/Dawson Saxon. Fuckin terrible they are! The singer is total shite!

I will be seeing the Oliver/Dawson Saxon tribute band tonight, so I'll let you know how bad they are!

Didn't see OLiver/Dawson in LOndon-too busy in the boozer!

But I'm seeing Dio in Portsmouth on Wednesday so i may catch a bit of them just out of curiosity but there is only one TRUE Saxon..........
