Somehow a copy of the album ended in my HD , so of course I listened to it as fast as possible.
Then there is a re-recorded version of 'Coming Home' that came originally in "Killing Ground", this version is different as being a slow blues. Frankly I prefer the original, had more life and coolness.
I believe is a decent effort, I put it at the level of "Metalhead" only I like all the songs on this one. Maybe more spinning will grow on me better, but in anycase I will buy it for sure being a fan of the band.
- It is undoubtedly a Saxon album, they haven't got a bad one since the debut, weak ones yes, but not bad ones.
- I will put this among the weak ones, specially compared to TIS and "Lionheart"
- The opener 'Batallions Of Steel', I was expecting something like 'The Power & The Glory', but it is more midpace epic one like 'Killing Ground' only not as majestic
- The second one 'Live To Rock' is a very bluesy one (I'm not very fond of blues) so that turned a bit down for me the pace
- Then comes 'Demon Sweeney Todd' and that is the ass-kicker song of the album, fast and heavy
