great thread.
the changeling is truly awesome. rosemarys baby is pretty cool too. not scary but cool. while youre at it, check out the haunting (original only please) for some great old school shitz.
i was terribly disappointed in donnie darko. that said, it's not a horror movie so who cares.
i'm with J. on the jap crap. eveything i've seen has been terribly lame.
 
poltergiest freaked the hell out of me for many years. that anthrax dude rules! :kickass:

the haunting is one of my all time favorites, what an excellent movie. i speak of the original, not that horrendous atrocity of a remake that i had the grave misfortune of seeing in the theatre. :erk:
 
My Little Eye is a pretty effective creepy horror story if you're used to polished American horror movies, cool stuff. The Devil's Backbone is also well worth checking out if you want a creepy Spanish horror movie!

I'm also a big fan of Lynch. I also agree with J on Donnie Darko, although I thought the director's cut was better then the original. Good but not spectacular. Every Japanese film I've ever seen (including 20+ Miike Takashi, Suicide Circle, Naked Blood etc.) pales in comparison to Kuchiku Dai Enkai; if you want to know how truly fucked up Japanese culture can be, I suggest that :grin:
