I want a cover feature like in '93!!! Tabs of Safe Home would be cool... I have a hard time figuring that solo out by ear.

i suck at figuring shit out by ear... solos i just kinda make up if i have to. i would like to figure out the harmony lead though. i love it.
It's up in the box in the 7th through 9th positions... it reminds me of a Beatles' melody... i don't know why
I suck at playing but for some reason, I'm good at figuring songs out. I have a good ear I guess.
lucky... some shit takes me forever to suss out... although for whatever reason, songs in dropped C# are easier.

i think the best i ever did at figuring out a song was thinking i came up with a cool part for a song... then lyrics popped into my head...

when i first started writing music (i've been writing lyrics since about 7... i still have some of them in the house somewhere; i didn't start riffing 'til about 10) i would take the vocal melody of a song i knew and write a new riff around it. Then I'd change vocal melody. It was like a morphed bastardization.
