One-time bassist for a BUNCH of really fucking good bands (Kyuss, The Obsessed, Unida, etc.), this guy's pretty much a legend. This is his first solo release, with a bunch of songs recorded over almost 2 decades, by Scott and Scott alone.

Supposed to be a pretty varied record, but pretty consistent in terms of quality. Anyone heard it?

That song there sounds good, definitely not GREAT. I don't think I'll buy it til you or NAD or someone does and gives me a proper explanation of how much it rules/doesn't.

I haven't heard any samples yet, I'll check that one on sr.com when I'm home this evening.. but yeah, as much as Scott Reeder is a legend and typically everything he's on rules beyond awesomeness, I'm wary of this album. Plus the reviews don't seem exceptionally enthused , always the same "woo scott reeder! ...oh yeah, the songs, they are varied but overall pretty good." :Smug:

the one review I read (other than the SR ones which praised it pretty highly afaik) gave it 3.5/5 stars, but then went on to talk about how excellent all the songs were, and approached from a variety of styles. What concerns me is that it'll probably sound too jumbled and mismatched. I like my albums to have flow.

i first heard about this earlier today, stonerrock.com email thingy. i'll be buying it blind shortly, so just like, yeah and stuff.

you're gonna be my guage for whether it's worth buying then ok? it was SO tempting not to stock up on some Bedemon, Wellwater Conspiracy, Centurion's Ghost, Liquid Sound Company (who fucking rule if anyone's interested), and OH SHIT Solace - 13! FUCKING MONEY, where are you?

Anybody pick this up? I haven't either.

I've purchased too many CDs lately too, gonna have to wait awhile.
