Screamo Mix - Need Fresh Ears Comments

Hey guys,

I just finished mixing a song I co-wrote for a band I produced last week and I would appreciate a lot to have your feedback on this mix since you guys have fresh ears on it and I don't.

Hey guys,

I uploaded a new version which sounds much better IMO. I used a SSL Bus Comp instead of the API 2500 hardware and fix all the low-end issues. Please let me know if the mix is sounds well balanced and if you have any other comments!

Little too much low-end for my taste, other than that good job, sir!

I would probably raise the volume of the vocals just a bit. They are a bit buried in the mix. If you feel they don't sit anymore then boost a bit @ 3500hz so you can hear the words clearer. Other than that everything seems to be nice. I'd maybe love to hear more low end in the drums but that's just a taste issue. And with low end I mean kick at 60-80hz and snare where ever the low end is located. Low mids are above them at the moment which leads to a tighter sound but not as ballsy maybe.

I disagree. Guitars are super quiet and don't really cut. Vocals pretty much dominate the mix....as they probably should, I dont like the overall mix. Consider cutting some 700-1.2k from the kick since you switched to the SSL comp, because I can literally hear it shaping the kick attack. It would just make it sit glue a little better IMO.

Sounds really good dude. Crystal clear. Although, I agree with the others on the guitars. They need to cut through the mix a little more.
