I use a pair of SE 1a's for overheads and I love them. Kinda helps to take out some at around 4k though. Can't remember what Chinese factory that get their stuff from, but from what I hear it's one of the better ones out there!
Something i'd really like to throw out there is the 3 Zigma Audio mics. If you buy one head amp, you can always get another one down the road, which allows you to put a any capsule you want on the mic, and the capsule is probably 70 percent of the mic's sound. The cool thing is you can put their high end capsules, which have 47, 67, 251, and c12 curves on them, OR if you had a pair, you could put some of the small capsules and use them as overheads. Not only that, to get a new mic, its cheaper to buy a screw on capsule than it is to buy a whole new mic, which already has characteristics of what is out there.
I have their 67 style capsule (these are NOT clones BTW) and I love it on classical guitar and vocals. I just tested it today against my 4047 on my nylon string Ibanez and it blew it away. But for steel string I prefer the 4047. The nice thing is that if you want a different sound, just unscrew the capsule and pop in another one, instant mod! These capsules are pretty nice too, they are entirely new designs which took them like over a decade to design.
