Selling my album collection

I'm selling my collection because I don't listen to it anymore. I haven't been interested in metal for the better part of a year and I feel no connection to it now. I have the albums on my computer if I feel the need for a sentimental visit, but that hasn't occured much. I'm simplifying my life and getting rid of most of the material things I don't need or use. We recently moved and I literally sold/threw away about 1/2 to 3/4 of what I owned.
 
Well glad for you that it is no money shortage-related shit, and that it seems to come as a natural/easy step. Doing such a thing would take a biiiig load of guts as far as I'm concerned and the remorse involved at a later stage would most definitely kill me with grief - considering the amount of CDs I already ended up trading away then purchasing back through the years :)

A couple months ago I had started sifting through my shelves for stuff to discard, with the firm intention of getting rid of at least a hundred CDs I basically never listen to anymore. Well the process rapidly turned into a psychotic experience as I kept weighing CDs against each other and kept asking myself for every second CD "why would I part with this one and keep this one, etc." After an hour or so of this shit it was back on the shelves for the lot of it. I mean, if I had really brought the concept to its logical conclusion I would maybe have kept 20 or so "desert island" albums and sold the rest. It's either everything or nothing. So in the end I guess you're doing the right thing.

Yeah, that's the way I view it. I have kept only a few albums that I still enjoy and the rest is gone. Honestly, I feel nothing sorting these out for each person to box 'em up. You've gotta do it in one motion, like a band-aid, RIGHT OFF!!!!!![/seinfeld] :lol: I intend to save the money for practical living and to buy some books.:headbang:
 
btw, I signed up for Paypal but apparently it's going to take 3-5 business days to confirm my bank account. So it's up to you fellows who are buying if you want to wait for that or go ahead and get the money in the mail.
 
Wow, I seriously hope I never have to do this for any reason.

I love my music collection, even if I don't listen to the metal part of it as much anymore... damn.
 
i dread the day that i will have to sell my pale "bring wooden t-shirts next time" folklore box set, but at least i know i'll get a minimum of $700 for it on ebay
 
you can skip the ebay route and just come straight to me when that time comes.
 
Oh yeah, my Paypal account is now verified. Before everyone starts sending payments though, I wanna see if it works. Does the money go directly into my bank account, or do I have to transfer it from "Paypal bucks?" Someone PM me and maybe send less than a dollar or whatever to see if it works?

Pretty sad, I remember that I used to recommend death metal records to you some years ago when you were new to the genre. Oh well, your call, and good luck in your future endeavours!

Pretty sure it'll go into your Paypal account, which you'll then have to transfer into your bank account.
 
i went through one of these periods in my 20's when I sold all my LP's and Cassettes ... did not really regret it, except for some rare signed stuff.
 
Ordered 15 CDs... I hope they're not reserved yet.

Oh, and I hope you fuckahs, who got Primordial stuff in before me - burn in hell without beer!

Satan may be evil but hes a fair man, not even he would exact such a cruel punishment. I anticipate drinking many brews with him when I get down there :kickass:
 
i just grabbed 8 death metal cds and the alcest. money was mailed yesterday. should have it tomorrow or friday
